Steelers’ young quarterbacks remain in the spotlight ahead of Thursday’s preseason game

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers’ final preseason game is just two days away, and once again, the focus will be on the young quarterbacks.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy didn’t fully reveal the plan for who will start Thursday night.

Thursday’s game could play a big factor in how many quarterbacks the Steelers keep on their roster.

McCarthy said on Monday that he hasn’t been part of any conversations about where the 53-man roster stands.

On Tuesday, a report came out saying the Steelers would be keeping both Will Howard and Drew Allar on the roster.

Channel 11 asked Allar what his biggest focus for Thursday is.

“I think just building off success...correcting the things I’ve messed up on or slipped up on,” Allar said.

We likely won’t see the starters for more than a series or two, if at all, on Thursday.

Channel 11 asked McCarthy what’s most important to see from his veterans this week.

He said he wants to make sure they’re doing the little things to get ready for next week.
