PITTSBURGH — Nationally ranked UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is expanding again.
The Lawrenceville hospital this week opened a pediatric Express Care clinic on the first floor adjacent to the main lobby. It has nine exam rooms and a waiting area for same-day care, just like the other Express Care facilities across UPMC’s footprint, staffed by UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics.
“Families are at the center of everything we do at UPMC Children’s, and this new Express Care is another way we are making it easier for them to access the care they need,” said UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh President Diane Hupp in a statement. “The welcoming space, convenient location and expanded hours were all designed around the needs of busy families. We want parents to know that when an unexpected illness or injury happens, they have convenient access to expert pediatric care.”
