NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Westmoreland County woman is accused of cashing stolen checks from a nursing home resident.

According to the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office, North Huntingdon Township police began investigating reported check fraud at Walden’s View of North Huntingdon in July.

One check from May was cashed for $1,600, and another from July was flagged before the $2,000 could be dispersed, the DA’s office says.

Rylee Primozic, 25, a former Walden’s View employee, allegedly endorsed the checks. The DA’s office says Primozic worked as a caretaker and had access to the victim’s room.

Primozic reportedly admitted to taking a check from the victim’s room on her day off in May. She told police she took another check in July, after she reportedly resigned June 10.

She is charged with forgery and theft by unlawful taking.
