Arrest made in Stowe Township shooting that left woman in critical condition

STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — An arrest has been made in a Stowe Township shooting that left a woman in critical condition Sunday night.

Kazaya Craighead, 23, has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and three counts of recklessly endangering another person.

Police said they responded to reports of a shooting at the 1100 block of Race Street at around 9:26 p.m.

Once they arrived at the scene, they found a 29-year-old woman inside of a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

A second woman was also taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries she sustained from broken glass.

Police said a 3-year-old was also in the vehicle when the shooting occurred, but was uninjured.

Craighead is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.
