GREENSBURG, Pa.,None — MTV is currently filming an episode of its documentary-style program "MADE" in the Greensburg area, See & Be Seen learned Wednesday.
"MADE" documents the journeys of mild-mannered teenagers into anything from class presidents to professional football players. In this case, Greater Latrobe High School student Natalie Nakles wanted to be "MADE" into a rock star.
Nakles' "MADE" coach, Shawn Perry, wanted Nakles to build stamina by working out so she can perform for long periods of time. Perry sings and plays guitar in an Ohio-based band.
Perry chose the Westmoreland Athletic Club for Nakles' conditioning.
"We (MTV) chose Westmoreland Athletic Club because of the rock wall and personal training studio," Perry said.
The club recently installed a 20-foot-high indoor rock wall.
"I think it will help me because Shawn said I need to build endurance so I can run around on stage for two hours like a rock star," Nakles said. "I had a lot of fun; the rock wall rocks!"
Westmoreland Athletic Club personal trainer Jess Toth assisted Perry and Nakles during the shoot.
"It's great to break in our new rock wall with something as exciting as this," Toth said.
Additional details on the shoot are being kept under wraps, and no air date has been set for Nakles' episode.
See & Be Seen will continue to follow this story and will bring you any updates.
