HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Pennsylvania lawmaker from the Pittsburgh area is proposing a plan to allow slot machines in airport terminals.

State Representative Nick Kotik of Kennedy Township, who is the House Gaming Oversight Committee Chairman, introduced a bill Wednesday to allow slot machines at Pennsylvania’s six international airports, including Pittsburgh.

The other airports are: Philadelphia, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Harrisburg, Lehigh Valley and Erie.

The number of machines in each airport would be based on the number of boarding passengers.

Revenue would be distributed among the airports and would be used for revitalization projects.
