PITTSBURGH,None — A man already awaiting trial on charges that he secretly videotaped female customers at a tanning salon now faces additional charges because police say they found child pornography on two computers he owns.
According to Channel 11's news exchange partners at TribLIVE, 29-year-old Jesse Macklin is jailed pending a preliminary hearing Thursday on the new charges.
Employees at the Sunkissed Tanning Salon told Channel 11 News they don't know Macklin and never saw him in the salon before. They said police told them Macklin climbed onto the roof of the strip mall and was able to break into the ceiling, where he set up his camera and videotaped customers through a small hole.
Police seized Macklin's computers in that investigation and filed the new charges earlier this month after finding videos and pictures of girls engaged in sex acts.
Macklin's trial on the tanning video charges is scheduled to begin Oct. 31.
