'Racist' Playmobil set comes with a slave figure

CALIFORNIA — A California mother says a toy pirate ship she bought for her son has a slave on it.

The Playmobil set includes a dark-skinned figure and instructions on how to attach what appears to be an iron slave collar.

The ship itself even has a dungeon for slaves.

Playmobil says the toy was meant to represent a pirate who was a former slave in a historical context.
