MOON, Pa.,None — Channel 11 News has learned that Jerry Sandusky held a football camp at Robert Morris University in 2008.
Over the weekend police arrested Sandusky, a former Penn State University assistant coach, on charges he sexually abused several boys during a 15-year span. The investigation is ongoing.
In May 2008, Sandusky Associated held a one-day linebackers camp at Robert Morris University, but the university was not affiliated with the camp in any way.
"Sandusky Associated only had access to the field at Joe Walton Stadium and a soccer practice field," Robert Morris spokesman Jonathan Potts said.
Potts said it's not uncommon for the university to rent out space.
"We do lease our facilities for a variety of outside events," Potts said. "There's everything from weddings to business meetings, including sports camps that are unaffiliated with the University."
Officials said there were no reports of any inappropriate behavior after Sandusky's camp at RMU.
