BUTLER COUNTY, Pa.,None — Residents of one neighborhood in Butler County said they have been hit several times by thieves who are looking to steal gasoline from the tanks of their cars.
Channel 11's Amy Marcinkiewicz learned about two cases of gas siphoning in the area on Monday. She reported that after speaking with several neighbors, almost everyone living in the Saw Mill Estates in Clearfield Township had become a victim.
"They've hit me three to four times," said resident Mike Clark.
Clark said the criminals have hit his car and his boat. Neighbors said crimes have been happening for months.
Police said in the most recent case, the thieves caused hundreds of dollars in damage to the victim's car after they broke a pipe and a taillight.
So far, no arrests have been made. Police continue to investigate.
