The Rochester Township Police Department was called around 6:30 p.m. about the man. When police arrived he was already out of his home near Whistler Drive. Officers found him in the neighborhood, he shot at them and then ran off.

Police called a special unit in to help find the man with night vision equipment. The bright stadium lights nearby were reportedly interfering with the equipment and the game was stopped.

The man eventually surrendered to police and he will undergo a mental health evaluation. The stadium was also briefly evacuated.

There were no reported injuries.
