PITTSBURGH — A potential suspicious package investigation prompted police to block off streets in Pittsburgh’s Brighton Heights neighborhood Tuesday morning.
Police were called just before 6:30 a.m. to Brighton Road after someone heard beeping coming from a United States Postal Service mailbox. It was later determined that the sound was coming from a postal device.
Brighton Road was shut down in the areas of Benton Avenue and Termon Avenue until police gave the all-clear.
At one point during the investigation, Channel 11′s Liz Kilmer reported seeing someone in an apparent bomb suit.
Several police vehicles were in the area during the course of the investigation.
