Bell Acres police warn of roving bears

BELL ACRES, Pa. — Police in Bell Acres are warning of two black bears that were recently spotted in the community.

The bears destroyed a chicken coop and killed some chickens overnight, police said. The animals were last seen on Highview Drive.

Police said those with small animals or chickens should be aware, and suggested removing all sources of food such as bird feeders.
