PITTSBURGH — A man is facing multiple charges after police say he fired a gun at multiple people in Pittsburgh on Monday night.
According to court documents filed against Todd Faver, police were called to Salter Way around 8 p.m. for reports of shots fired.
While responding to the area, officers were flagged down by three people who said they were shot at.
Those victims said they were tracking a lost phone with a fourth victim who was no longer on scene, isolating it to Salter Way. They called the phone, and a man answered it. That man met them to return the phone — demanding $20 for doing so.
The victims say when they got the phone and began to leave, the man pulled out a gun and fired three to five shots at them.
Investigators searched the area for evidence, eventually locating Todd Favers in an apartment on Salter Way. He was detained because he matched the suspect description, and the victims later identified him as the one who shot at them.
Favers was taken to the Allegheny County Jail and is facing multiple charges, including four counts of recklessly endangering another person, four counts of aggravated assault and theft by unlawful taking.
Favers is a previously convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.
