PITTSBURGH — The cause of death for a 13-year-old Pittsburgh boy who collapsed while playing football in August was released Sunday.
According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office, Jordan Duckett died of severe asthma.

Duckett was at football practice on Aug. 14 when he collapsed on the field located along Chartiers Avenue in the city’s Windgap neighborhood. He was taken to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, where he died.
