Driver ejected from pickup truck during crash, airlifted to Pittsburgh hospital

WESTMORELAND CO., Pa. — A person was ejected from a pickup truck during a crash Thursday night and had to be airlifted to the hospital.

Fire officials in Lloydsville, Pa. confirmed the single-vehicle crash happened around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Beatty County Road and Meadow Spring Road, which is located near the Unity Township Municipal Building.

Investigators said the driver had to be airlifted from the scene to a trauma center in Pittsburgh. The victim was not identified, and their condition was not released.

However, authorities said the driver sustained a “traumatic injury.”
