PNC closes 16 branches this month

Despite Losses PNC Chief Says “Quarter Still Good In Many Ways”

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — PNC Financial Services Group Inc. closed 16 branches in May, including one in the Pittsburgh region, marking its highest monthly toll so far this year.

According to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, PNC (NYSE:PNC) shuttered sites from Florida to Michigan with the most — five — occurring in Pennsylvania.
