Kelly O’s Diner preparing to open third restaurant in namesake owner’s hometown of Warrendale

PITTSBURGH — After making it through the pandemic along with a host of other life challenges, Kelly O’Connor jumped at the opportunity to be able serve up her Kelly O’s Diner with as short of a commute as possible.

She recently reached a deal to take over the space previously occupied by Bakn at Marshall Village in Warrendale and she and her crew are shooting to open a new 120-seat location of Kelly O’s Diner by mid-September.

“I grew up in walking distance, maybe five minutes from here,” said O’Connor of the new location, remembering growing up in a very different Warrendale when there was little of the development there is now.
