Local man, woman jailed for allegedly abusing 2 children

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police have two people who were wanted for allegedly physically and sexually abusing two children several years ago in custody.

The abuse happened at a home on Leolyn Street in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood, according to a criminal complaint. However, a timeframe for when the abuse occurred was not given.

Seth Price, 36, and Trista Price, 36, face 50 charges between them, police said. The charges include sexual abuse of children and endangering the welfare of children.

The victims are a girl who was between the ages of 4 and 6 at the time of the abuse, and a boy who was between 5 and 7 years old, the complaint said.

Police said the abuse included rape, hitting the girl with an SUV, tying the girl to a chair and beating the boy with a 2x4 that had a nail in it, as well as frying pans and other objects.

Detectives searched Seth Price’s home, where child pornography was found, police said.

Trista Price was arrested about 12 p.m. Wednesday, and Seth Price turned himself in about 2 p.m., police said. They were both taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
