Mail-in ballot return available at Allegheny Co. office building

PITTSBURGH — The Elections Division in Allegheny County announced Wednesday that ballot return is available in the lobby of the County Office Building until Election Day.

The building is located at 542 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pa 15219.

Voters who have made mistakes or errors on or have misplaced their security or declaration envelope can get replacements at the window.

Lobby hours for return ballots only are as follows:

Wednesday, May 12, 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Thursday, May 13, 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday, May 14 , 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday, May 15, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday, May 16 , 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Monday, May 17, 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, May 18 (Election Day), 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voters who have made an error on their ballot or have not received one previously applied for can get a ballot reissued at the counter.

Voters are reminded that:

  • State law requires that voters return their own ballot: they may not return the ballots of others.
  • Masks or face coverings are required in the offices and physical distancing must be followed.

All 1,323 polling places will be open on Election Day. Hours are from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and anyone in line at 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote. Voters are asked to wear a face covering in compliance with the state order. Those who arrive without a face covering will be offered one.
