PITTSBURGH — A man was arrested after fleeing from police and tossing a gun from a vehicle on the North Side.
Officers were patrolling in Troy Hill when they saw a red car turn right without using a turn signal.
The officers attempted to make a traffic stop, but the driver took off when they got out of their vehicle.

According to a news release, the driver then made a left turn on a red light onto the ramp to Interstate 279.
Officers then watched the driver throw a gun out the driver's window before the car came to a stop.
Pittsburgh police identify the driver as Preston McClain Jr.
There were two other people in the car, an adult and female juvenile, but neither of them are being charged.
