Man dies after shooting in Pittsburgh’s Beechview neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — A man died at the hospital after a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Beechview neighborhood on Friday night.

The incident occurred outside of Universal Ventures Bar and Grill at the intersection of Methyl Street and Hampshire Avenue just after 11 p.m.

Police found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest after responding to a 911 call. The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Raymone Wilson, 32, of Clairton.

According to police Wilson was involved in a fight inside the bar, and was shot outside.

Not long after the initial shooting, police received reports of a man with a gun on nearby Alton Street, and two men were taken to police headquarters for questioning.

Police charged Darrell Mutzig, 37, of Pittsburgh with criminal homicide and aggravated assault.
