Man found shot to death inside Pittsburgh duplex

PITTSBURGH — A man was found shot to death early Tuesday morning inside a duplex in Pittsburgh’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood, police said.

Officers went to Malden Street just after 5 a.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter alert for gunshots fired.

When officers got to the duplex, they found evidence of a possible crime and forced their way into the home, police said. The man, 39-year-old Ernest Adams, was dead inside with gunshot wounds.

Neighbors said they heard at least two gunshots.

In addition to talking with neighbors, police said they’ll be looking to see if security cameras outside the front door captured anything.
