WILKINSBURG, Pa. — A man was shot multiple times while sleeping in a car early Tuesday morning in Wilkinsburg, police said.
The 31-year-old was in the back seat of the car, which was parked in a driveway on Susquehanna Street, when he was shot multiple times in the torso shortly after 3:30 a.m., police said.
Police and paramedics responded to the area after receiving calls about shots fired.
“They were rapid,” said Charlie Kirkland, a neighbor who described the gunshots as sounding like popping popcorn.
Several bullet holes were left in a back passenger window.
