Memoir details career and personal story of renowned forensic pathologist Cyril Wecht

A new memoir details the career and personal life of renowned former Allegheny County coroner and county commissioner Cyril Wecht.

“The Life and Deaths of Cyril Wecht: Memoirs of America’s Most Controversial Forensic Pathologist,” written by Wecht and Jeff Sewald, details his personal and professional life starting with his upbringing in the Hill District.

Wecht has been involved in many high-profile cases, including O.J. Simpson, Kurt Cobain, the Menendez Brothers, Scott Peterson, Chandra Levy, Elvis Presley and Jeffrey Epstein. He likewise investigated the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy.

According to our partners at the Trib, the book also details his professional pitfalls and public corruption trial, which resulted in a hung jury.
