Men arrested in Beaver Falls for trying to lure child into car with gun

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. — Two men from Michigan were arrested Tuesday after police said they tried to lure a child into a car with a gun in Beaver County.

The incident happened at around 2 p.m. Monday in Beaver Falls.

Police said a 14-year-old girl got out of school early and was walking home from Beaver Falls High School.

On her way home, police said a car, driven by Marvin Marquis Hollis of Detroit, was following her. Police said Hollis and a passenger, Devin Deandre Wesley, were asking her repeatedly to get into the car. Police said at some point one of them “showed a gun” to the girl, according to court documents.

The girl ran home and told her mother, who called police. The girl gave a description of the car and the people inside, according to court documents.

Police found the car and arrested Hollis inside a store, and Wesley was located inside the car and taken into custody.

Both were in possession of illegal drugs, including fentanyl, authorities said.

Hollis and Wesley were taken to the Beaver County Jail. Both men face several charges, including luring a child into a motor vehicle.
