Born as one of a litter of eight puppies, Rune’s training focuses on socialization, basic obedience and becoming attuned to the various working conditions she will encounter on the job, according to Crisis Center North.

“Once she has become confident in navigating the court system and interacting with clients and court staff, Rune will provide support to victims during counseling sessions and participate in public appearances and CCN outreach events,” a news release said.

Crisis Center North is a nonprofit organization that supports victims of domestic violence.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
