One killed in crash on Route 837 in Duquesne

DUQUESNE — One person was killed in a crash that occurred at the intersection of North 2nd Street and Route 837, according to Duquesne Police.

Police responded to a four-vehicle crash at the intersection, where one of the vehicles overturned and one person was ejected.

Officials confirm one person was deceased.

Firefighters on the scene reported and a vehicle had come out of a wooded area, when another driver slammed on the brakes to avoid that vehicle, and was rear-ended by a vehicle driving behind.

The victim’s name has not been released.

This is the second fatal accident at the intersection in just over 3 weeks.
