Pizza delivery driver tells police he was carjacked in Pittsburgh neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — A pizza delivery driver told police he was carjacked late Monday night in Pittsburgh’s Perry South neighborhood.

The carjacking was reported shortly after 11 p.m. on North Charles Street, according to police.

Officers who spoke with the delivery driver were told two males, possibly juveniles, took his keys, car and cash. The driver said one of the males had a gun.

“I saw them pointing the gun at him steady, asking him for different things. Eventually he gave them everything and they got in the car and took his car and took off,” a neighbor told Channel 11.

That neighbor called 911 after witnessing everything unfold. She said she’s worried because the teens are still out there.

“For me, when I jumped inside, I started praying for his safety,” she said.

Anyone who sees the car, a gray 2013 Nissan Altima with Pennsylvania license plate LPC-0085, is asked to call 911 and not approach it.
