Second suspect arrested for sexual assaults of ‘numerous’ children in Allegheny Co., police say

ALLEGHENY CO., Pa. — A second person has been arrested in connection with multiple sexual assaults against “numerous children, toddlers and infants” in Allegheny County.

According to police, Sidney Brooks, 25, conspired with Devaughante Law to sexually assault the children and record the acts.

Law has been behind bars since January, charged with multiple counts of incest, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, rape and other charges.

Investigators said they were contacted by another law enforcement agency about the case. They found Law had recorded the acts and distributed the images and videos. Some of the child victims have not yet been identified.

Officers later found Brooks helped Law commit the crimes. She was taken into custody Friday and is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.

Brooks faces 38 counts of felony charges related to the assaults.

Detectives said there may be additional victims and are asking the public’s help in identifying any children known to have had contact with Law or Brooks in the past. Victims may require medical attention and/or social services.
