“I’m just kind of getting out tonight and doing all the shopping that is left before the holidays,” Diana Purcell said.

Purcell said she’s looking forward to having the snow in time for Christmas.

“It’s been a few years. We all need it especially just because of the year. It’s been some crazy times, so I think having a white Christmas will make things much more magical this year,” she said.

If you absolutely have to get out to shop on Christmas Eve, Kuhn’s Market will be open.

“Get in here early and get off the roads as soon as you can,” store manager Ryan Graco said.

Meanwhile, delivery drivers at Basket of Pittsburgh are finishing up their last-minute gift deliveries. Most of the packages that have to be delivered Christmas Day are already on the way.

“Normally we will just take precautions on the road and go slower,” Brent Goldstrohm said.

Forecasts predict as much as six inches of snow for parts of the area by Christmas Day.
