State police searching for 2 armed robbers who stole over $300K worth of jewelry from local Kay Jewelers

NORTH FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are searching for two men accused of stealing over $300,000 worth of jewelry from Kay Jewelers in the Washington Crown Center Mall.

Police said the two men entered the store on Wednesday around 6:30 p.m.

Both men were being helped by two different employees when they pulled up their shirts and showed them their guns, police said.

Police said they had pillowcases and demanded jewelry from the case.

Both men ran after stealing around $300,000-$350,000 worth of jewelry, according to police.

Police said one of the men is described as a black male in his 40s, around 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was possible wearing a blue plaid shirt and blue jeans.

They described the second man as a black male in his 20s, around 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. He was possibly wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.

Police said both men were wearing masks at the time of the robbery.
