These are the shopping malls in Pittsburgh closed on Thanksgiving

PITTSBURGH — For the second year in a row, several local malls will not be open for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Simon Properties announced the Grove City Outlets, Ross Park Mall and South Hills Village will all be closed.

The Mall at Robinson will also be closed.

“At the core of our operation is the opportunity to serve the region as a center of family traditions, and that can change over time. This year, the decision to fully close The Mall at Robinson on Thanksgiving Day is simply a reflection the evolving preferences of our community - our region’s families, our tenants and all employees - who wish to preserve Thanksgiving Day as an experience to enjoy at home,” a statement from The Mall at Robinson said.

The malls will reopen for Black Friday.

The Monroeville Mall, Westmoreland Mall and Pittsburgh Mills Mall will also not be open on Thanksgiving.
