Police: Man caught stealing state flag flying fallen troopers found, charges pending

LATROBE, Pa. — According to Pennsylvania State Trooper Steve Limani, the man who was caught on camera stealing a state flag flying at half-mast for fallen troopers was found, and charges are pending.

The man was caught on camera at a Sheetz in Latrobe, stealing the Commonwealth flag.

The flag was being flown at half-mast for the two troopers killed in a crash in Philadelphia.

Police said the man did not enter the Sheetz or purchase gas, but focused on stealing the flag.

There is no word yet on his identity.

WPXI - State Flag Theft Pennsylvania State Police are looking to identify a man who was caught on camera at a Sheetz in Latrobe stealing the Commonwealth flag, which was flying at half-mast for two fallen troopers.

On 03/25/22 at approx 1005 hours the pic male stole the Commonwealth flag which was flying at half mast for the two fallen Troopers being flown at the Sheetz past Eastgate toward Latrobe.
