Woman shot inside gas station in McKeesport

McKEESPORT, Pa. — A woman was shot early Tuesday morning inside a gas station in McKeesport, police said.

The shooting happened about 12:30 a.m. inside the Valero gas station on Fifth Avenue.

Investigators said the woman, who was a customer, was shot multiple times. She was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

“Just like fireworks pop, pop then pop. And we were like ok what was that?” Said Kelly Provo.

Provo and her husband live down the block, and heard the gunshots, not long after midnight.

“I didn’t think anything of it until we heard police sirens saw the red and blue,” Provo said. “Sad to say, we hear it pretty regularly. We hear gunshots a lot.”

We talked to the owner of the gas station off camera. He said someone came in and started firing.

He also said they do have surveillance video, and they’ve handed it all over to police
