BOULDER, Colo. — Ten people died Monday, including a police officer, in a mass shooting at a King Soopers grocery store in Colorado, authorities said.
Police arrested 21-year-old Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa on 10 counts of first-degree murder after the shooting. Authorities said Tuesday that Alissa was in stable condition at a local hospital after being shot in the leg before he was apprehended Monday afternoon.
Monday’s attack was the seventh mass killing in the United States this year, following the March 16 shooting that left eight people dead at three Atlanta-area spas, according to a database compiled by The Associated Press, USA Today and Northeastern University.
