“The Goonies” was originally released on June 7, 1985, and this year marks the 35th anniversary. The town of Astoria Oregon was supposed to host an event, but due to the coronavirus, the celebration may go on, but it will be different than the organizers had originally planned, officials with the Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce said on the group’s website. Plans were expected to be announced last month, but the pandemic has delayed it.
