‘Survivor’ contestant Dan Spilo ejected from game for ‘off-camera incident’

“Survivor” has kicked a contestant off the island, ejecting a cast member for the first time in 39 seasons.

Dan Spilo was removed from the show over what is being called “unacceptable behavior” after an “off-camera incident,” USA Today reported.

Show host Jeff Probst made the announcement to cast members, telling them that Spilo would not be part of the show any longer, and will not appear as part of the jury, Entertainment Weekly reported.

A graphic at the end of the episode read “Dan was removed from the game after a report for another incident, which happened off-camera and did not involve a player," USA Today reported.

No exact reason was given.

The final episode will be pretaped, not shown live next week, People magazine reported.

Spilo was the center of controversy from the first day of shooting when castaway Kellee Kim complained about Spilo’s “inappropriate touching,” USA Today reported.

Spilo continued to act inappropriately. On day 22 of the show, Kim was emotional about what was happening. Producers met with players in a group and individually, reminding them of boundaries. There was also a meeting between Spilo and producers where showrunners gave him a warning and monitored his behavior, USA Today reported.

Probst told People magazine that Spilo was not happy that he was being removed from the game, but eventually calmed down as he left.
