Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy revealed in his pre-practice interview on Thursday that there is “no high concern” about Joey Porter Jr. and Jalen Ramsey, but he doesn’t have a timeframe for a return to practice, either.
“There’s no high concern for any of the (injured) guys right now,” McCarthy said.
Joey Porter Jr. was placed on the PUP list on July 28. He suffered an aggravation of a back injury while performing the team’s initial run test, ESPN reported. Porter was a late addition to the PUP list, fueling speculation that his absence from practice may not solely be due to his injury, but could also be related to his ongoing contract negotiations.
