NFL kicks off “My Cause My Cleats” campaign, Steelers player talks about what it means to him

PITTSBURGH — This week the NFL kicked off its “My Cause My Cleats” campaign.  In Sunday’s game between the Steelers and the Ravens, there will be a player on each team who will spotlight the JDRF organization, which raises funds for Type 1 diabetes research.

Type 1 diabetes has no cause and no cure. The Steelers’ Henry Mondeaux and the Ravens’ Mark Andrews are among the millions of people worldwide living with the disease.

WPXI sports photographer Mark Masa also is a Type 1 diabetic. He sat down with Mondeaux to talk about living strong with T1D.
