Break between systems gives Wednesday a dry start

PITTSBURGH — A brief break between systems will give us a mainly dry start to the day on Wednesday.

Roads and sidewalks will be damp, but widespread icy spots are not expected as overnight temperatures continue to gradually increase.

Winds will pick up through the day though, and that means wind chills will hover in the upper 20s for a good part of the day.

Another fast-moving system will bring wintry weather back into the area after sunset and into early Thursday leaving a coating to an inch or so of snow. Temperatures will be cold enough for snow to stick, so check the live forecast updates on Channel 11 News and plan for icy spots Thursday.
