Sunny start to Sunday, followed by showers, storms

PITTSBURGH — Morning fog will give way to a mix of clouds and sunshine early Sunday, with showers and storms returning late in the day.

It should be dry for tailgating and most of the Steelers game, but scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected late afternoon and through the evening.

Strong to severe storms may develop once again, bringing the threat of frequent lightning, damaging winds, hail and heavy downpours. An isolated tornado is also possible.

Most of the storms will gradually wind down after sunset.
