FLASH FLOOD WARNING issued for several local counties, showers could be severe overnight

PITTSBURGH — A FLASH FLOOD WARNING has been issued for parts of Cambria, Indiana, Somerset and Westmoreland counties. The warning is expected to end at 1:45 a.m.


There will be humid and unsettled weather over the next few days. It won’t rain all day but showers and storms are possible at times over the next three days, which may push you indoors.

Later this afternoon and into the evening hours, expect scattered showers and storms. A few storms may turn strong to severe and produce heavy rainfall, damaging winds, and frequent lightning. Watches and warnings may be issued. Stay weather aware and make sure to download the WPXI Weather app before you head out the door this afternoon and evening for weather alerts, watches, and warnings while you are on the go.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and storms at times throughout the day. Tuesday will feature a little more sunshine with a few isolated showers and storms. Severe weather is not expected at this time for Monday and Tuesday. We will get a break in the humid and unsettled pattern by Wednesday with sunshine and highs returning to the 80s.
