Tornado touched down in Beaver County on Sunday, NWS confirms

BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. — A tornado touched down in Beaver County on Sunday, the National Weather Service confirmed.

NWS officials surveyed Greene and Raccoon townships on Monday, after trees were damaged during severe weather along Upper Service Road on Sunday.

That Storm damage indicates an EF0 tornado touched down in the area after forming in the woods near South Service Creek and ending near Gibbs Road.

The storm’s path width was around 50 yards.

Officials said the top wind speed was around 75 mph.
