PITTSBURGH — Seth Rogen does it again -- and this time, in Pittsburgh!
The new comedy, “An American Pickle” wrapped filming here in the fall.
HBO has announced its streaming service acquired the rights to the film, which will likely debut on HBO Max this summer.

The movie was filmed entirely in and around Western Pennsylvania in October and November, with scenes shot in Downtown Pittsburgh and Lower Burrell, according to our news partners at TribLIVE.com.
Rogen stars as Herschel Greenbaum who, in 1920, is a struggling immigrant laborer and dreams of building a better life for his family.
The film follows Greenbaum who falls into a vat of pickles and is brined for 100 years, then emerging in present-day Brooklyn -- finding he hasn’t aged a day and only has a great grandson left, who is also played by Rogen.
