6 Charged In Cranberry Twp. Prostitution Sting

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa.,None — Police arrested six people in an overnight prostitution sting at a Cranberry Township hotel.

Investigators said officers went online and responded to sites that offered sex for money. Police said within a few hours they had several meetings confirmed.

Police said they used the Holiday Inn Express in Cranberry Township as their meeting point; a place they stressed is not a problem hotel.

Tara Wolfe, Amber Bonnoni, Sherrie Cogley, Nachell Colemen, Danielle Tabb and Waylon Brown were arrested and charged.

Investigators said all six people are from the Pittsburgh area.

Police said prostitution has become a problem in several areas including Moon Township and Monroeville.

"It can happen here. Our location with highways and hotels draw more than other locations might," said Cranberry Township police Sgt. Chuck Mascellino.

Police said they will continue to do whatever is necessary to keep prostitution out of their communities.
