Aldi has removed many food additives storewide

Many packaged food brands and restaurants have eliminated certain additives in order to appeal to health-conscious consumers.

Now, discount grocery chain Aldi has eliminated several additives - storewide.
Certified synthetic colors, partially hydrogenated oils and added MSG will no longer be in products sold on Aldi's shelves.
Aldi's CEO says more than 90 percent of the products are under the company's exclusive brand, so it has significant control over what is sold in stores.
The company waited to make the announcement until the additives were already removed.
