‘Armed and dangerous' suspect sought in kidnapping, rape of woman in Whitaker

WHITAKER BOROUGH, Pa. — Allegheny County Police are seeking a 26-year-old man who is accused of kidnapping and raping a woman Sunday in Whitaker Borough.

Police were called about 10 p.m. to the Gulf gas station on River Road for a report that a woman had been abducted at gunpoint inside a vehicle, authorities said. The woman called police about 12:30 a.m. Monday and said she had been released after dropping the man off in Braddock.

The victim told police that she knew the man, George Holiday, and that he raped her during the abduction, according to police.

“It can happen to anyone, especially a woman,” Michelle Kubistek said.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Holiday, who police said is believed to have a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol and is considered “armed and dangerous.” He is charged with kidnapping, rape, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, recklessly endangering another person, false imprisonment and aggravated indecent assault.

“It’s probably all of our biggest fears. You can never trust anybody,” Kubistek said.

Holiday, of Duquesne, is described as black, 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing about 185 pounds.

Anyone who sees Holiday is asked to call 911. Information about his whereabouts can be reported to Allegheny County Police at 412-473-3000.
