Beaver County Sheriff George David is upset after paperwork was handed down by the county, ordering the David and his deputies to stop providing security for private events immediately.
Events include high school football games, said David.
As South Side prepares for Friday night football under the lights, this has been a battle behind the scenes, said David.
"I can tell you that I will personally be at the game tonight, and so will be my deputy. I'm not risking any child or parent's safety," said David.
The county's lawyer said this issue comes down to how you interpret the private services code. The county wants this to stop but doesn't know what, if any, repercussions the Sheriff's Department could face for violating it.
