Brandon Hudson

None — Brandon joined WPXI in January 2011 as a morning reporter after spending the past two years at FOX 44 in Burlington, Vt.

Living in the Green Mountain State has prepared him for the Pittsburgh winters. Before living in Vermont, Brandon was born and raised in the south with most of that time beingspent in Alabama.

In high school, he was the announcer for the Montgomery Catholic High School boys and girls varsity basketball games. Brandon took his love of sports (and broadcast) to college at Florida State University.

At FSU, he had his hand in multiple media outlets. His last two years, he was sports director at the campus radio station, sports editor at the school newspaper and a reporter for the college's TV production crew.

Brandon had his first taste of morning news when he spent one summer as the morning intern at WSFA in Montgomery, Ala. It helped him prepare for his first on-air job at WDHN in Dothan, Ala.

He joined FOX 44 a couple of years later, which is where he filled in behind the anchor desk for news and sports. He also helped cover the Capt. Richard Phillips homecoming; the ship captain who was held hostage by Somali pirates in 2009.

When Brandon isn't bringing you the news, he's watching a Florida State game (GO SEMINOLES!), at the gym, playing sports or trying not to get lost driving in Pittsburgh! He also enjoys traveling, reading a good book and eating the best food da 'Burgh has to offer.
